After three semesters of college I dropped out and chased the high of drugs and alcohol. I enjoyed the feeling of not feeling. A way to numb myself so I didn’t have to take any real action in life. The perfect way to hide my lack of happiness with myself and to not ever face that reality. In April 2014 I decided to change my life forever and made pain my motivation. I sold my Playstation 3 and bought a used specialized mountain bike at a garage sale for 50$. I rode that bicycle all around Long Island New York posting weekly videos to youtube.
Just when I felt a bit of positivity back in my life I found myself living in my car. A decision I made in order to go back to school and finish by Business Degree. It was a blessing in disguise because after a few weeks I fell in love with the adventure. Five months of simplistic living really added to my personal growth and development.
In October of 2015 I donated everything I owned, quit my job and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I also shipped my new road bike and a backpack. I finished my Business Associates Degree online in Thailand technically eight years after I graduated High School. Excited to continue my education of life I decided to leave Chiang Mai and head to Cambodia. Trektheworld.tv was created in February 2016 during my 300km cycle from the countries capital, Phnom Penh to the beautiful beaches of Sihanoukville. I fell in love with nature, meeting people, exercise, food and overcoming challenging obstacles all over again.
