After three semesters of college, I dropped out and chased the high of drugs and alcohol. I enjoyed the feeling of not feeling. A way to numb myself so I didn’t have to take any real action in life. The perfect way to hide my lack of happiness with myself and to not ever face that reality. In April 2014 I decided to change my life forever. Pain is my motivation. I sold my Playstation 3 and bought a used specialized mountain bike at a garage sale for 50$.
Since that day I have cycled over 6,000 miles as a plant-based, drug free, happy human being. I don’t do this to have a six pack or to be athletic and fit but I do this because it makes me happy. I love myself again.
In October of 2015 I donated everything I own, quit my job and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand with my upgraded bicycle and a backpack. I finished my Business Associates Degree eight years later. Excited to continue my education of life, soon after I decided to leave Chaing Mai and head to Cambodia. Trektheworld.tv was created in February 2016 during my 300km cycle from the countries capital, Phnom Penh to the beautiful beaches of Sihanoukville. I fell in love with nature, meeting people, exercise, food and overcoming challenging obstacles.
“I can’t think bad thoughts on the road it’s impossible plus I feel high again”– Anthony Rigogliosi
My mission is to inspire people to become the best version of themselves. I always knew I had something inside of me that made me feel happy and passionate but didn’t know how to express my emotion. Everyday I unlock that potential is a day I can change the world in a positive way.
