A few blog Posts ago I wrote a detailed story about my experience sleeping in the Bangkok Airport. If you haven’t read that post or watched that video, please do this first before continuing.
I GOT THE JOB!
The past few years I always had a little thought in the back of my mind. The desire to want to do more, be more and give more. I never really knew where to start until recently. I realized if I wanted to think positive I had to read a ton of Tony Robbins self help books back to back. If I wanted to be healthy, I had to read plenty of material that recorded doctors like Neal Barnard and Michael Greger curing cancers with a particular diet. If I wanted to earn a living while traveling the world I must read books like The 4-Hour WorkWeek and Vagabonding. When I wanted to improve my fitness I read Rich Roll’s book Running Ultra every day via Audible until I ran my 5k in 19 minutes.
I started by modeling talent because the type of talent I was after was not genetic. I thought, neurologically we are all the same human beings so why can’t I produce some of other peoples successful results. Now, I do recognize the luck I was given by being born a white male in America. I know I’m privileged to have particular opportunities others do not and for that I am grateful. However, this does not take away from the fact I busted my ass to be where I am today. I taught myself how to Model Talent in three simple steps. Let me explain.
Now, when I see somebody doing something great I instantly become a modeler. By adopting others beliefs, thought process and physical functions I am able to produce the specific result I want. I know everyone I talk to is able to teach me something if we just focus on depth rather than width and we can both learn. It sounds so simple but its a fact.
I am happy to be working with Johnny “Fighter-Divemaster” Jen as the Lieutenant of the The Travel Like a Boss Army.
